On the back of an ox
sat a man with a box

and in the man’s box
was a bag of odd socks.

On the back of a yak
sat a man with a pack
and in the man’s pack
was a duck with a quack.
牦牛背上坐着一个背着袋子的人，
他的袋子里是一只嘎嘎叫的鸭子。
The man on the ox
met the man with the duck
and he said, “In this box
is a bag of good luck.”
公牛背上的人遇到了带着鸭子的人，
他说，“我的盒子里装着一袋子好运。”
The men had a chat
and the duck got a hat.
两个人一起聊天，鸭子戴了一顶帽子。
It was one of the socks
from the bag in the box.

Then the man on the ox
sang a very long song
and the man on the yak
hit a very big gong.
